Job Summary
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add an Automation Integration Engineer located in Guadalajara, North Campus.
The Automation Engineer role involves being responsible of Defining, Developing, Implementing and proliferating Automation projects, providing consultancy as SME and developing new customer engagement in the region with a focus in technical support.
What a typical day looks like:
- Be able to create and define RFQ/SOW documents to quote with suppliers new integrations
- Simulate mechanical design, from simple automation, custom and full lines automation, to provide visualization and calculate line improvements from implementing solution (CT, UPH, etc)
- Have the capability to independently or together with other engineering stakeholders identify root causes of failures in the manufacturing process in order to define the best technology.
- High level participation in daily production activities and effective problem solving on daily issues
- Get involved with local teams and operations to provide technical support for the implementation or development of any technology.
- Work on the maturity of the technologies currently deployed.
- Take responsibility for the development or implementation of a project.
- Train local teams on the technologies
- Able to quote and follow up automation integration: Simple, Custom or entire line for full processes
- Work in collaboration with Project Manager to meet timeline
- Knowledge in Project Management
The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
- Knowledge in programming Vision System equipment, such as: Cognex, Keyence, Basler or others related
- Knowledge in Robot programing, such as: Epson, Fanuc, Nachi, UR, Omron, or other related
- Knowledge in PLC programming
- Programming skill with at least one of the following languages: Python, C++ or JavaScript. Similar programming languages will be a good skill to add.
- Knowledge on designing electric/pneumatic diagrams
- Experience with industrial protocols like OPC, Profibus, Fieldbus, Devicenet, IO-link, Modbus, TCP/IP or similar.
- Basic knowledge in design SW tools such as: SW, NX, CAD
- Experience with suppliers for automation integration solution
- Interpretation and establishment of KPI and Operational Metrics for automation devices.
- Experience in manufacturing process for electronics devices and mechanical assemblies (e.g., dispensing, screw-fastening, welding, soldering, general knowledge in testing, etc.)
- Training in safety and ergonomics.
- Experience in definition of preventive maintenance processes.
- Fluent English, written and spoken.
- Valid US Visa and passport.
