Job Description Summary
The Purchasing Manager oversees the Purchasing Leader and Buyers and creates strategies that facilitate
the acquisition of materials for the correct production. The responsibility of the Purchasing Manager is to
lead the method and the processes of raw mat erial purchases, following the established standard work to
follow the MRP signal and other requirements in the ERP system to procure raw material in time and with
the required quantity to achieve the business objectives, including, but not limited in qual ity, opportune times,
and adequate costs. Is responsible for building great relationships with the suppliers, subordinates, and
team members, ensuring the employees health and security concerns through the monitoring of the
guidelines of the company and the department.

Job Responsibilities: (Primary Duties, Roles, and/or Authorities)
Service and support to manufacturing and operations areas by ensuring raw material flow to production
lines.
Establishes, develops,
and enhances good business relationships with suppliers as well as internal
customers and intra-company multi-functional teams.
Develops purchasing team members for optimum performance of material supply and inventory control.
Supports Engineering Projects for operating activities for on-time delivery.
Support PPV activities to mitigate price increases, based on annual PPV (Cost to Win) goals, keeping
steady market prices based on the right inventory size and using current purchasing parameters
Leads Annual Inventory Budget preparation exercises and participates in PPV annual Budget preparation
to establish new goals and opportunities.
Performs analysis and prepares reports to support information related to established metrics and goals.
Assures department is in conformance with company policy and procedures.
Interviews and participates in the process of hiring and selection of Purchasing team and oversees training
compliance.
Trains and informs on the latest safety and health related concerns.
Education and Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of previous experience in sourcing or tactical purchasing preferably.
A minimum of 4 years technical degree or +7 years of experience in Buyer or procurement position.
Advanced degree in business or equivalent experience is preferred.
Previous experience in directing the activities of lesser experienced Buyer or Planners.
Suggested Certified in Production and Inventory Managemt
