The resident engineer is the field representative of GE that provides advisory and technical consultation to the customer related to (i) Activities of the guaranteed services under the contract, (ii) any quality assurance process recommended by GE to perform activities on site and (iii) provide supervision to routine maintenance activities performed by the customer.
**This is an "in-person" position based in Cuautla, Morelos, Mexico. **NOT REMOTE.**
**Roles and Responsibilities**
- Provide technical direction and guidance to customer on routine maintenance activities.
- Developing in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline.
- Diagnosis and troubleshooting of power plant equipment covered under the contract.
- Management of sub-contractors.
- Equipment maintenance planning.
- Uses some level of judgment and has ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters but with guidance. Uses prior experience and on-the-job training to solve straightforward tasks. Has access to technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems. May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.
- A job at this level is likely to be an individual contributor with proven interpersonal skills. Provides informal guidance to new team members.
**Required Qualifications**
- This role requires advanced experience in the Services & Field Service and Technical Advising.




- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
**Desired Characteristics**
- Prior experience in operation and/or maintenance of power plants.
- Prior experience in planning/execution of gas turbine outages in power plants.
- Prior experience servicing gas turbine and auxiliaries in power plants.
- Availability to respond to customer requests in accordance with contract terms and conditions.
This position offers domestic relocation assistance. We will not sponsor any type of visa.
