About the Opportunity

Medina Network Technologies (MNT) is hiring a dedicated Onsite Deskside Support Technician for a long-term assignment at a Fortune 500 electronics manufacturer’s corporate office in North Dallas. This is a contract-to-hire role with a clear conversion path: you start with a 12‑month 1099 contract , then convert to full-time W‑2 employment with benefits at Month 13 , based on performance and mutual fit.

If you're an experienced deskside technician tired of hopping between clients, dispatch trips, or dead-end helpdesk roles, this is a stable, single-site, professional corporate assignment with a defined career path.

About the Role

You'll be the on-the-ground face of IT for the client’s Dallas staff. You are their first call for anything IT-related — Windows laptop issues, Microsoft 365 problems, hardware failures, new-hire setups, printer jams, MFA re-enrollments, and everything in between. You’ll work alongside the client’s remote support team, who handles higher-level escalations such as network infrastructure, servers, enterprise identity, and security incidents.

You’ll own your queue, own your escalations, and own the relationship with the users at the site.

Location & Schedule

- On-site, 5 days per week, at the client’s Dallas facility (must reside within a reasonable commuting radius)
- Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Central Time
- Standard US business holidays observed
- No on-call rotation; no after-hours coverage unless specifically requested and paid at a premium

What You’ll Do Every Day
- Act as the first point of contact for all walk-up and dispatched IT tickets at the site
- Support Windows 10/11 laptops: imaging, re-imaging, drivers, patching, and OS troubleshooting
- Support Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint client), VPN clients, and MFA re-enrollment
- Perform hardware swap-outs: laptops, docking stations, monitors, keyboards, mice, and headsets
- Support printers and multifunction devices, including driver installs, queues, and basic hardware issues
- Handle Moves, Adds, Changes (MAC-D): new-hire provisioning, separations, workstation relocations
- Perform basic Active Directory / Entra ID / Intune tasks (password resets, group membership, device compliance, Autopilot enrollment)
- Coordinate OEM warranty tickets (Dell, HP, Lenovo) for onsite parts replacement
- Tag assets, reconcile inventory,

and manage endpoint lifecycle
- Document every ticket, with clean escalations to the client’s remote support team when needed

What We’re Looking For

Required

- 3+ years of hands-on desktop/deskside support experience in a corporate Windows environment
- Strong Microsoft 365 troubleshooting skills — beyond simply being a user of Outlook and Teams
- Working knowledge of Active Directory / Entra ID account operations
- Comfort with Intune, Autopilot, and endpoint management concepts
- Solid hardware skills: laptop swaps, dock setup, peripheral installs, and printer troubleshooting
- Professional demeanor and communication suitable for a Fortune 500 corporate office
- Ability to pass a background check (7-year criminal, employment and education verification) and 10-panel drug screen
- Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
- Reliable transportation and residence within commuting distance of Dallas 75244

Preferred

- CompTIA A+ certification or equivalent
- Microsoft MD-102 (Endpoint Administrator Associate), or willingness to earn it in Year 1
- Prior experience in a large enterprise / Fortune 500 deskside environment
- Familiarity with ITSM ticketing systems such as ServiceNow, Jira Service Management, or similar

Why This Role – Structure and Compensation Contract phase (Months 1–12):

- You work as a 1099 independent contractor for the first 12 months
- Full-time schedule at $40/hour
- Approximate annual gross billings of around $77,000 , based on typical full-time working hours over a year
- You invoice according to agreed terms and are paid on a regular schedule
- You are responsible for your own taxes (including self-employment tax) and your own health insurance during this phase
- The hourly rate is deliberately set higher to account for those extra responsibilities and costs
- Clear performance check-ins and feedback at set points during the year, so you know where you stand regarding conversion

Conversion phase (Month 13 and beyond – W‑2 employee):

Approximate total annual compensation value: about $78,000–$82,000 , including:

- Base salary of $62,000
- Employer contributions toward health, dental, and vision insurance
- Paid time off (PTO) and paid holidays
- Employer-paid share of payroll taxes
- 401(k) with employer match (subject to plan terms)
- Company phone stipend
- Mileage reimbursement for approved off-site tasks
- Ongoing support for professional certifications (Microsoft, CompTIA, HPE Aruba, Cisco, Fortinet)
- A clear career pathway within MNT, including potential progression to Senior Technician, Network Technician, or Client Lead roles as MNT grows its Dallas footprint

This structure is designed so that your overall compensation remains fair across both phases, while your risk and out-of-pocket costs decrease and your long-term stability and benefits increase when you convert to W‑2.
