Are you passionate about operations and regulations in the food industry? Become part of our EHSS team as an Environmental Coordinator. In this role, you will lead the execution and maintenance of the Environmental and Natural Resource Conservation (NRC) programs at Kellanova’s Querétaro Plant. Your mission will be to ensure compliance with Mexican legal requirements and corporate policies, reduce environmental impacts, achieve NRC reduction goals (energy, water, GHG, waste), and spearhead initiatives and projects that enhance operational efficiency and sustainability.
This position is based in Querétaro, Mexico, and requires full on-site availability. You will report directly to the EHSS Manager, oversee an intern within the team structure, and manage in-house contractors for the treatment plant and waste management operations.
A Taste of What You’ll Be Doing
**Legal compliance and Regulatory management**: Coordinate the necessary actions for the identification, compliance and monitoring of the legal requirements applicable to the plant in terms of the Environment, as well as attend to regulatory visits related to the environment of different dependencies, both at the plant and in the different secretariats.
**Daily Management System**: Coordinate the necessary actions for the implementation and monitoring of the daily management system of utilities consumption in the plant (electricity, gas, water, waste generation), ensuring the reporting of indicators, investigation of deviations, generation of corrective/preventive actions and analysis of trends.
**Execution and Training Processes Coordination**:



Coordinate the design and execution of training and training processes in terms of Environment and safety and its different modalities, seeking to achieve compliance and effectiveness. (Legal, EHS & NRC Programs, On Boarding).
**Internal Audit**: Manages the reports of the Energy 8 internal audit program (Findings of Utilities Losses-Focused Journeys).
**Environment System Management**: Lead and monitor the implementation and execution of the environmental management system, under the Clean Industry and RSPO (Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil) standards.
We’re Looking for Someone With
3-year experience in similar positions leading environmental and regulatory activities.
Bachelor’s degree in Environment (Environmental Engineer - Environmental Management) or Industrial Technology / Process Technology / Chemical Technology / Industrial Engineering / Process Engineering / Chemical Engineering - With Environmental Expertise.
Conversational English.
ISO 14001 Audits.
Experience in legal, environmental and regulatory management
