US-based accounting and financial services firm managing bookkeeping and reporting for multiple small and medium-sized businesses across the United States. We’re expanding our team and looking for a dedicated and experienced Bookkeeper based in Mexico to support our growing client base.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks using **QuickBooks Online and Desktop**
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements
- Maintain accurate financial records for 15 client accounts
- Assist in the preparation of monthly and year-end financial reports
- Communicate directly with US-based clients in **English**
- Support with tasks related to **US tax preparation**
**Requirements**:
- **Experience with QuickBooks Online and Desktop** (preferable)
- Understanding of **US accounting principles and tax structure**
- **English**
- Ability to work independently
- Based in **Mexico** (Mérida, Yucatán preferred, but not required)
- High attention to detail and organization
