About the Role

Our client is seeking a QA Engineer with experience in Java, databases, scripting, and AWS to support the quality assurance of web applications, self-service kiosks, and ATM terminal solutions.

The successful candidate will be responsible for validating the quality, stability, and functionality of applications by performing functional, technical, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing. This role also involves analyzing application integrations, APIs, databases, and cloud services hosted on AWS while collaborating closely with development, DevOps, database, and product teams.

Key Responsibilities

Test Planning & Execution

- Design, document, and execute functional, integration, regression, end-to-end, and user acceptance test cases.
- Perform testing on web applications and terminal applications developed in Kotlin.
- Validate complete business workflows across web applications, kiosks, terminals, APIs, and databases.
- Execute SQL queries to validate data integrity, transactions, interfaces, and processing results.

Technical Validation
- Analyze application and service logs to identify defects and support incident investigations.
- Develop and maintain scripts for test automation, data generation, technical validations, and process execution.
- Test REST APIs using tools such as Postman, Swagger, or equivalent.
- Validate components, services, and deployments hosted on AWS.

Defect Management




- Document defects with supporting evidence, reproduction steps, expected results, vigente results, and severity.
- Track defects through resolution in collaboration with development teams.

Collaboration & Quality Improvement
- Participate in requirement analysis, backlog refinement, planning sessions, and deliverable reviews.
- Collaborate with Java and Kotlin developers, database specialists, DevOps engineers, and product teams.
- Contribute to the definition and improvement of quality standards, processes, and metrics.

Mandatory Requirements
- Experience testing web applications and transactional systems.
- Intermediate knowledge of Java for code analysis, log analysis, services, or automation.
- Knowledge of applications developed in Kotlin, preferably for terminals, devices, or self-service solutions.
- Experience working with relational databases and SQL queries.
- Experience with database validation, including:
- SQL queries
- Data integrity validation
- Transaction analysis
- Stored procedures, tables, views, and logs
- Identification of database errors or inconsistencies
- Experience developing or executing scripts for testing and technical validation.




- Knowledge of AWS services, preferably including:
- CloudWatch
- EC2
- S3
- RDS
- Lambda
- API Gateway
- IAM
- Experience testing REST APIs and integration services.
- Experience using test and defect management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, TestRail, or similar.
- Knowledge of Git and continuous integration/deployment processes.
- Experience with regression, smoke, integration, and end-to-end testing.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, or equivalent.
- Knowledge of TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, Bash, or other scripting languages.
- Experience testing kiosks, payment terminals, ATMs, Android devices, or embedded applications.
- Knowledge of Linux command-line tools for reviewing services and logs.
- Experience with Docker and containerized environments.
- Basic knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline.
- Experience with performance, security, or availability testing.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.

Educational Requirements Bachelor's degree in one of the following or a related field:
