- The Quality Engineer is responsible for assisting in and supporting the investigation/resolution of quality related supplier, production, manufacturing, and design-related problems. They act as the customer's advocate when there are quality problems.
**What you will do**:
- Respond to day-to-day design, production, and customer quality issues related to production lines
- Resolve production problems associated with process errors, non-conforming parts, and design problems
- Interface with all aspects of Purchasing, Manufacturing Engineering, Product and Sustaining Engineering, and Production Inventory Control in the performance of their assigned tasks
- Monitor self-release of products and first article inspections as required
- Reviews manufacturing instructions for completeness, correctness and comprehension by assembly personnel. Audits processes performed by assembly personnel relative to methods, tools and ability to follow manufacturing instructions
- Responsible for the internal and external supplier audits and corrective action system including compliance verifications, documentation, and follow-up
- Assists in insuring quality assurance specifications are met by engineering, manufacturing and other involved functions
- Intervene on behalf of the customer to ensure their ultimate satisfaction with quality issues




- Maintain records of investigation and resolution in accordance with procedures
- Perform special tests as required by the quality assurance manager. Develops and assists in implementing testing procedures and in analyzing and interpreting test results
- Conducts laboratory evaluations and analyses, prepares reports and makes recommendations
- Utilize MRP/ERP software for data collection and incident resolution
- Maintain all quality mandated statistical systems
- Review, support, and complete RMA’s, including root cause analysis, developing corrective action, and turnaround in an efficient and timely manner
- Other duties as assigned
**We are looking for**:
- Bachelor's degree in related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 3+ years experience in a manufacturing environment
- Knoweldge as Leader auditor in ISO 9001, Core tools and similar standards a plus
- Working knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and similar software
- Ability to work as an individual contributor and within a team environment
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and solid communication skills required
- Ability to lift 25-50 lbs. occassionally, 10-25 lbs. frequently, and up to 10 lbs. constantly
