Job Summary
To support our extraordinary teams that build great products and contribute to our growth, we are looking to add a Direct Buyer located in Guadalajara, North Campus.
Reporting to the Purchasing Manager Direct, the Direct Buyer position involves being responsible for coordinating activities related to the procurement of direct materials, components, and equipment.
What a typical day looks like:
- Reviews MRP requisitions and releases.
- Communicates with suppliers to obtain information about products or services, such as prices, availability, and delivery times.
- Determines the method of procurement, such as direct purchase.
- Places orders, reschedules, and cancels material based on requests and the results of requirements planning.
- Manage supplier compliance with price, delivery, and quality expectations and, if necessary, escalate the issue to a higher authority.
- Approve invoices for payment.




- Expedite delivery of goods to users.
- Interact with suppliers to ensure both delivery and the best market price.
- Make tactical purchasing decisions. Executes corporate programs for the procurement and purchase of high-value parts.
- Maintains purchasing records, reports, and metrics.
- Tracks orders from placement to payment to the supplier and receipt of the material in the system.
- Coordinates with the warehouse to resolve any receiving issues.
Experience we are looking to add to our team:
- Bachelor's degree or engineering degree.
- Intermediate-advanced English.
- Previous experience in MRP
- Intermediate/advanced Excel.
- Knowledge of BAAN (a plus).
