Mandate of the role
Responsible for supporting the North American Team by ensuring planogram accuracy and execution readiness across U.S. and Canadian CK stores, leveraging space planning expertise, analytical rigor, and cross-functional collaboration to optimize assortment strategies, enhance product visibility, and drive category performance through effective retail space utilization.
Role responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and optimize planograms using space planning software (e.g., RELEX) to align with category strategies and merchandising goals.
- Ensure planogram accuracy and readiness to support space aware ordering and in store execution.
- Analyze sales data, consumer trends, and space performance to optimize space allocation and product placement.
- Monitor on shelf and in store performance, recommending adjustments to improve category results.
- Support pre and post project analysis,
clearly communicating insights and outcomes.
- Partner with Category Management, Merchandising, Supply Chain, Operations, and Floor Planning teams to ensure alignment with business goals.
- Act as a space planning power user, providing training and guidance to peers and store teams on planogram development and compliance.
- Maintain a centralized space planning resource library for assigned categories.
- Support bilingual operations, including intermediate French language skills to assist Canadian French-speaking markets.
- Stay current with retail space planning best practices, tools, and industry trends to continuously improve planning capabilities.
Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Merchandising, Business, Retail, Analytics, or a related field.
- Proven ability to optimize product placement and contribute to category growth.
- Desired: Space planning software certification.
- Experience collaborating with floor planning teams and tools.
- ~3 years of professional experience, with at least 2 years in Retail Space Planning or CPG* Category Management.
- Proven expertise in planogram development, space optimization, and category growth.
- §Advanced English Proficiency (B2-C1).
- Intermediate French (B1-B2) preferred to support Canadian operations.
- Hands-on experience with space planning software such as RELEX or similar.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams).
