Nidec AMEC Cd Juarez is seeking a highly skilled and results-driven **Senior NPI Process Engineer** to lead the industrialization of new electrical motor assembly lines for the automotive sector. This role is central to our New Product Introduction (NPI) team, focusing on configuring world-class manufacturing systems that reduce cost, improve quality, and ensure sustainability.
You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of new production assets, from supplier validation and knowledge transfer to line optimization, ensuring all processes meet stringent automotive quality and capacity standards (Cpk≥2, OEE targets).
**Key Responsibilities**
- **New Line Installation and Validation**: Lead the validation, transfer, installation, and debugging of new, highly automated assembly and test lines (motors/transformers) from the supplier site to the Juarez plant.
- **Quality System Implementation**: Drive process capability by leading **PFMEA** and **Reverse PFMEA** coordination, developing **Control Plans**, and ensuring critical stations meet high standards (e.g., GR&R; P/T ratios below 10%). Implement **mistake-proofing** (Poka-Yoke) solutions.
- **Project and Financial Management**: Manage NPI project timelines and budgets, ensuring on-time delivery. Conduct **ROI** and **Payback** analysis for new equipment and process improvements.
- **Technical Documentation & Training**: Develop comprehensive work instructions and process documentation. Provide hands-on knowledge transfer and training to manufacturing and maintenance teams.
- **Automation and Design Collaboration**: Work with automation teams on process optimization using **PLC (Keyence preferable)**,
vision systems, servomotors, and pneumatic cylinders. Collaborate with Design Engineering on **Design for Excellence (DFX)**, including Design for Manufacturability, Cost, Assembly, and Test.
**Required Qualifications**
- **Education**: Bachelor’s Degree in Electronic, Mechanical, or Mechatronic Engineering.
- **Experience**:
- Minimum of 8**+ years** of professional experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the **automotive industry**.
- 4+ years of experience in **New Product Introduction (NPI)**, process development, and technology transfer.
- **Technical Expertise**:
- Advanced knowledge of manufacturing processes (electrical motors or transformers preferred).
- Strong background in **Lean Manufacturing** and **Six Sigma** principles, with advanced knowledge of Line Balancing/Time Study (MOST preferred).
- Working knowledge of CAD/CAE tools (SolidWorks preferable).
- Proficiency in written and spoken **English (80%+ required)**.
**Desirable Skills**
- Experience with PLC programming and vision system setup.
- Knowledge of automotive standards (IATF 16949, VDA, CQI 15).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional communication skills.
