**Plastic Surgeon - Post-Bariatric Body Contouring Specialist**
The Plastic Surgeon specializing in post-bariatric procedures is responsible for evaluating, planning, and performing reconstructive and aesthetic body contouring surgeries for patients who have experienced massive weight loss following bariatric surgery.
The position ensures high clinical quality, patient safety, aesthetic outcomes, and multidisciplinary coordination within a comprehensive bariatric program, frequently serving domestic and international medical tourism patients.
**Key Responsibilities**
**Clinical Care**
Perform consultations, diagnosis, and surgical planning for post-bariatric patients.
Conduct body contouring procedures including:
- Abdominoplasty
- Belt lipectomy / lower body lift
- Brachioplasty
- Thigh lift
- Face lift
- Mastopexy and breast reconstruction
- Back lift and contouring procedures
- Assess medical readiness following bariatric surgery.
- Establish individualized surgical staging plans.
- Provide preoperative education and informed consent.
- Deliver postoperative follow-up and complication management.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation.
**Quality & Patient Safety**
- Comply with hospital clinical protocols and international patient safety standards.
- Monitor surgical outcomes and complication rates.
- Promote infection prevention and enhanced recovery protocols.
- Medical Tourism & Patient Experience
- Provide care aligned with international patient expectations.
- Participate in virtual consultations and treatment planning.
- Coordinate with international patient coordinators.
- Contribute to patient satisfaction and experience initiatives.
**Qualifications**
- Medical Degree (MD).
- Residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
- Board Certification in Plastic Surgery (required).
**Experience**
- Minimum 3-5 years of surgical practice preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in post-bariatric body contouring surgery.
- Experience in private hospital or medical tourism environment preferred.
- Licensure
- Valid medical license.
- Professional certification compliant with national regulations.
