About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to join our Project Management Office in Mexico. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of technical projects—from proposal and budgeting through execution and delivery—ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
As the primary liaison between clients, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams, you will drive project success through exceptional communication, strategic planning, and hands-on coordination. You will also serve as a Product Owner relay, translating business requirements into actionable tasks for development teams while maintaining alignment with organizational goals.
This role requires a unique blend of technical understanding, project management expertise, and client relationship skills to navigate complex projects in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. **Technical Project Management**
- Lead proposal preparation and budgeting, ensuring accurate financial forecasts and resource allocation.
- Oversee end-to-end project execution, managing timelines, budgets, and scope to ensure successful delivery.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans,



schedules, milestones, and status reports.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks; manage and account for unforeseen delays, realigning schedules and expectations as needed.
- Establish and implement project communication plans, providing regular status updates to affected staff and stakeholders.
2. **Client & Stakeholder Management**
- Act as the main client-facing contact for all project-related communications, building and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Serve as the bridge between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders, translating complex technical concepts into clear business language.
- Gather and document client requirements, ensuring alignment between stakeholder expectations and project deliverables.
- Manage stakeholder expectations through proactive communication and transparent reporting on project progress, issues, and changes.
3. **Product Owner Relay**
- Act as the Product Owner relay, representing business needs to development teams and ensuring alignment with the product vision.
- Create, prioritize, and manage day-to-day tickets and tasks in the product/project backlog.
- Define clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and deliverables for development teams.
- Facilitate backlog refinement sessions and collaborate with teams to ensure stories are well-understood and properly estimated.
- Balance competing priorities from multiple stakeholders,



making data-driven decisions on feature prioritization.
4. **Team Coordination & Leadership**
- Drive internal coordination between cross-functional teams including development, design, QA, and operations.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and demos.
- Lead regular technical team meetings to determine progress and address any questions or challenges regarding projects.
- Motivate and support team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior project coordinators and team members.
5. **Process Optimization & Automation**
- Identify opportunities to automate repetitive tasks and workflows to increase overall team efficiency.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the PMO, implementing best practices and standardized processes.
- Evaluate and recommend project management tools, technologies, and methodologies to optimize delivery.
- Document processes, create templates, and establish guidelines to ensure consistency across projects.
- Lead change management efforts when implementing new processes or systems.
Required Qualifications
- **Experience**: 7+ years of experience in project management, PMO, or operations roles, with demonstrated success managing technical projects.
- **Education**: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
- **Technical & Domain Knowledge**:
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycles, technical architectures, and IT project delivery.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and frameworks (Kanban, SAFe, or similar).
