Surgery Coordinator The Surgery Coordinator is responsible for managing the surgical scheduling process from the initial recommendation through post-operative follow-up. This role coordinates patients, providers, surgery centers, attorneys, billing teams, and internal departments while ensuring all documentation and scheduling requirements are completed accurately and on time. Responsibilities
Contact patients recommended for surgery and explain the scheduling process.
Schedule procedures based on patient and provider availability.
Send surgery confirmations and pre-operative instructions.
Confirm patient readiness before scheduled procedures.
Coordinate with providers, surgery centers, attorneys, and internal teams.
Track surgical referrals from scheduling through completion.
Coordinate post-operative appointments and follow-up.
Prepare booking sheets, cost letters, invoices, and supporting documentation.
Maintain accurate patient and referral records in EMR systems.
Respond to surgery-related billing and documentation inquiries.
Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance. Requirements
Advanced English (C1+).
Minimum 1 year of experience in patient coordination, medical scheduling, healthcare administration, or a similar role.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent organization, follow-up, and multitasking abilities.
Experience managing sensitive or confidential information.
Experience using EMR/EHR systems or CRMs.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
