About the role
The Education Partnerships Director owns complex public-sector deals end to end, from first relationship to signed contract and a clean handover. You'll run three to five high-value pursuits at once and build long-lasting relationships that will turn into valuable partnerships during the 12–24 month sales cycle.
Success in this role takes real credibility in ministerial rooms, a sharp read on where real influence sits in government circles, and the drive to keep everyone moving toward a decision.
Key responsibilities
- Build senior relationships with ministries of education, public agencies and multilateral institutions; originate and qualify opportunities with real scale and strategic fit.
- Multi-thread every pursuit across political, technical, academic, procurement and financial stakeholders; find the formal decisionmakers and the real influencers.
- Orchestrate product, academic, implementation, finance, legal, government relations and bid teams into one coherent proposition.
- Lead business-case development, negotiation and executive engagement through to signature,
sustaining momentum across long decision cycles.
- Navigate RFPs, tenders and multi-stage evaluations with discipline, accuracy and a clear win strategy.
- How success will be measured
- Value and quality of qualified pipeline; progression of priority pursuits against agreed milestones.
- New bookings/ARR, win rate, forecast accuracy and commercial quality of signed agreements.
- Depth of executive sponsorship, procurement readiness and effectiveness of cross-functional orchestration.
Experience and capabilities
- 8+ years closing complex, long-cycle, multi-year sales with governments, large public institutions, international-development organizations or comparable enterprises.
- Proven record of personally leading deals from first relationship through procurement, negotiation and signature.
- Genuine executive presence: able to engage Directors General, ministers and senior institutional leaders without relying on a script.
- Strong strategic account planning, stakeholder mapping, commercial negotiation and pursuit-management discipline.
- Demonstrated understanding of the relevant country or region's education sector; autonomous, resilient and adaptable working style.
- Natural curiosity and commercial acumen, with commitment to continuously learning and adapting.
Why working at Efekta is great
- A balance of autonomy and support to develop and follow your own sales strategy.
- A start up fast paced environment with real potential to create transformative impact in schools and universities around the world if we succeed.
- Surrounded by passionate talented international teammates who are experts in education, technology and growth and who believe nothing is impossible.
- A chance to participate in our Global Experience Program, spending time in other offices and teams around the world.
- A competitive salary (based on track record) and benefits packages
- Celebrations, integral gatherings and anniversary markers, including paid sabbaticals.
