The firm provides a professional environment that values integrity, technical excellence, and client-centered service.Role Description The candidate will provide legal advice and representation to clients across maritime, port, insurance, administrative, tax, and commercial matters. Day-to-day responsibilities include drafting and reviewing contracts and legal documents, preparing legal opinions, researching applicable statutes and case law, and managing case files. The role also involves appearing before administrative and judicial authorities, coordinating with external stakeholders, and supporting negotiations and dispute resolution.
This is a full-time position based in Mexico City, Mexico, with a hybrid work arrangement that allows some work from home. The Abogado will collaborate with partners and colleagues, contribute to the firm's expansion into related practice areas, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant regulations and industry developments.QualificationsLaw student or graduate from an accredited institution and valid license to practice law in Mexico.Strong interest in maritime law, port law, and insurance law, with the ability to handle sector-specific matters.Strong legal research, analytical, and drafting skills, including the ability to prepare clear opinions, briefs, and contracts.Effective communication and negotiation abilities, with capacity to interact professionally with clients, authorities, and counterparties.Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Proficiency in Spanish; working knowledge of English, especially legal terminology, is highly desirable.Commitment to ethical practice, attention to detail, and willingness to learn and adapt as the firm expands into new practice areas.
