ISP History Teacher Role Profile
Purpose of Role
The purpose of the role of a History Teacher is to foster in students a deep understanding of the past and its relationship to the present, developing critical and analytical thinking skills to interpret history and its various perspectives.
In addition, it seeks to educate citizens who are aware of their historical context, capable of understanding the causes and consequences of events, as well as the different cultures and societies that have shaped the world.

Develop and implement curriculum and lesson plans for secondary/high school students.
Deliver engaging and effective instruction.
Assess and monitor student learning and progress.
Prepare students for exams and post-secondary education.

Ability to engage and motivate secondary/high school students.
