As we expand our team, we are seeking a dedicated and skilled Humanitarian Visa Editor to join our talented roster. The editor contributes drafting in English-language prose, ensuring that the structure and legal requirements are met, and identifies gaps and inconsistencies among collected information to ensure credibility and quality standards. The role demands volume, precision, sound judgment, and disciplined task management.
They are specialized in cases involving survivors of human trafficking, domestic violence, and other humanitarian situations.
Responsibilities:
- The writing team transforms interview notes and client stories into accurate, structured, and compelling written reports.
- Review interview notes and organize client narratives into coherent, detailed case summaries.
- Analyze key themes, timelines, and facts relevant to the case narrative.
- Write in clear, professional English using a consistent tone and structure.
- Collaborate with team members to resolve gaps and questions, as well as following up with clients when the record lacks information to meet legal requirements.
- Task management and work under strict deadlines:
The Editor manages a portfolio of cases through the drafting stage, prioritizing across deadlines. Performs additional tasks required by the Team supervisor for the purpose of managing cases and workload.
- Confidentiality and data protection: Handles precision clients’ information and maintains confidentiality and discretion of sensitive material and enforces personal data protection policies at all stages.
Qualifications:
- Fluent in English (excellent written skills) and strong Spanish reading comprehension.
- Bachelor’s degree in Literature, International Relations, English, Journalism, Law, Communications, or related fields.
- 1 year of professional experience in editing, analysis, research, or structured documentation. NGO, humanitarian, or legal experience is a plus.
- Ability to understand and structure complex stories logically.
- Organized, reliable, and detail oriented.
- Emotional self-awareness about their management strategies and practices.
- Open to receiving feedback, committed to continuous learning.
- Must be a team player and resilient; can adapt and respond positively to changes and work pressure.
Modality: On-site (Polanco, Mexico City)
Schedule: Monday to Saturdays.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21,000.00 per month
