**About the Role**:
We are looking for a **resourceful and proactive Bilingual Sourcing Agent** to be our eyes and ears on the ground in Mexico.
In this field-oriented role, you'll identify, evaluate, and build relationships with **manufacturers and suppliers** across the country based on specific product requirements.
This position goes beyond a desk job — we need someone **willing and able to travel** to factories, perform in-person evaluations, and keep our U.S.based operations team updated with real-time insights.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Identify and qualify manufacturers and suppliers based on production capabilities, materials, and standards
- Travel across Mexico to conduct factory visits, audits, and quality inspections
- Assess supplier capabilities and perform on-site validations
- Negotiate pricing, lead times, and contract terms
- Assist in sampling and pre-production review processes
- Report findings and recommendations clearly and consistently
- Ensure vendor compliance with ethical sourcing and quality standards
- Collaborate closely with our U.S.based sourcing and procurement teams
**Required Qualifications**:




- Currently residing in **Mexico** with **availability to travel regionally**:
- Fully **bilingual in English and Spanish** (verbal and written)
- Experience in **sourcing, procurement, or supply chain** (manufacturing background is a plus)
- Skilled in **negotiation, supplier evaluation, and communication**:
- Familiarity with **manufacturing hubs and supplier networks** across Mexican states
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple sourcing projects simultaneously
- Knowledge of **quality control, vendor onboarding, and international trade**
**Preferred (Nice to Have)**:
- Background in **industrial equipment, têxtiles, plastics, or metals**:
- Experience with **U.S. import/export logistics**:
- Familiarity with working across **multinational teams**
