Senior Payroll Analyst (Guadalupe, Reciente Leon)The Senior Payroll Analyst is responsible for the accurate, compliant, and timely execution of payroll operations across multiple jurisdictions, with a primary focus on Mexico.
This role acts as a subject matter expert (SME) in payroll processing, regulatory compliance, and system optimization, while driving continuous improvement and automation initiatives.
The position partners closely with HR, Finance, and external vendors to ensure a seamless and reliable employee pay experience.Responsibilities:Payroll OperationsLead end-to-end payroll processing for Mexico, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with all applicable regulationsReview and validate complex payroll calculations, including taxes, benefits, and other deductionsCompliance & ControlEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local labor, wage, and employer obligation lawsMaintain robust internal controls and support internal and external audit activitiesMonitor regulatory changes and implement necessary updates to payroll processesMaintain payroll-related employee records in compliance with legal requirementsSystems & Vendor ManagementAct as a key user for payroll systems (e.G., Workday, Meta4, Compaq,
Excel)Partner with HRIS and IT teams to test enhancements and troubleshoot system issuesManage relationships with external payroll providers and tax authoritiesContinuous ImprovementIdentify and implement process improvements to enhance payroll efficiency and accuracySupport digital transformation initiatives, including automation and employee self-serviceContribute to global payroll standardization and knowledge-sharing effortsStakeholder EngagementServe as a trusted advisor to HR, Finance, and business leaders on payroll-related mattersMentor and support junior payroll team membersAddress escalated employee inquiries with professionalism and confidentialityQualifications:Educatio n: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related fiedExperienc e: Minimum of 5 years of progressive payroll experience in Mexico; U.S. payroll experienceis a plus.System s: Strong proficiency in payroll platforms such as Workday, Meta4, Compaq, or similar systemSkills & CompetenciesIn-depth knowledge of Mexico payroll regulations, tax requirements, and best practiceStrong analytical skills with advanced Excel and reporting capabilitieExcellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical information into business termProject management experienceExcellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts in business terms and fluency in English (both verbal and writtenProven ability to lead initiatives and work independently in a fast-paced environment
