**Job Purpose**:
To provide high-quality medical services to support employees, including general consultations, incident/accident care, prenatal care for pregnant workers, and health monitoring for employees requiring special accommodations (e.g., load restrictions, ergonomic chairs).
Ensure the well-being of employees working in high-risk areas by implementing preventive healthcare programs and complying with company and legal standards.
**Job Summary**
The role involves delivering proactive medical care and surveillance for employees who require support, particularly those in high-risk environments, pregnant workers, and individuals with disabilities.
This position entails acting as a health advisor in compliance with organizational, ISO ****, RBA, and Mexican regulatory requirements, while collaborating with different departments to improve employee well-being and overall workplace conditions.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Provide consultations, medical attention for incidents/accidents, and follow-up care.
- Perform prenatal monitoring and ensure compliance with healthcare needs for pregnant workers.
- Monitor workers with special physical needs and ensure ergonomic accommodations are in place.
- Conduct health assessments for employees working in high-risk areas or requiring special medical monitoring.
- Respond to emergencies and proactively manage risks to improve workplace safety.
- Collect and evaluate employee health data to detect trends and improve medical programs.
- Prepare and analyze data for informed decision-making regarding occupational health matters.
- Ensure compliance with Mexican legal health and safety requirements and company health protocols.
- Support audits related to ISO Management Systems **** and RBA standards.
- Work closely with HR, safety,
and other departments to implement preventive healthcare measures and resolve medical/workplace concerns.
- Contribute to the development and execution of organizational health and wellness strategies.
- Provide training and coaching to employees and managers on workplace health, safety, and ergonomic practices.
- Offer feedback and guidance to team members to promote overall health performance improvement.
**Qualifications**:
- Medical Degree with valid certification to practice in Mexico.
Specialization in Occupational Health is a plus.
- At least 5 years of experience with Mexican legal health requirements.
- 3+ years of relevant experience in the maquiladora industry or corporate environment.
- Knowledge of ISO **** Management Systems and RBA (Responsible Business Alliance) principles for 3+ years.
- Knowledge of NOM-251-STPS-****.
- Experience with audiometric tests.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Effective team collaboration and leadership skills.
- Proven ability to analyze data for informed decision-making.
- Strategic thinking and ability to improve organizational structures and achieve departmental KPIs.
- Advanced proficiency in English and Spanish (spoken and written).
