On behalf of our client based in Voula, Athens we are looking for a Purchasing & Logistics Officer.
**Job Description**:
Co-ordinate the procurement and purchasing of equipment, material and products for assigned fleet and maintain business relationships with suppliers. Oversee the company's procurement and logistics activities that include price negotiation, issuance of purchase order, order tracking and management and maintaining inventory of equipment and material.
**Responsibilities**:
- Analysing and evaluating equipment for purchase
- Negotiating prices and contracts with vendors for cost optimization
- In charge of ship’s material and parts requisitioning, procurement, and warehousing
- Managing logistics operations and tracking shipments
- Issuance of purchase order, order tracking and management
- Maintaining procurement records of equipment and material from initial requisition through delivery and purchase order close out




- Producing and analysing purchase order volume reports
- Controlling and validating invoices. SOA follow up
- Make recommendations to management on the procurement processes and system for the purpose of enhancement. Work with management to implement changes to procurement processes as requested.
- Implement Strategic Procurement including sourcing strategy, vendor selection and evaluation, quality management, and performance measurement.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Computer literacy
- Good communication skills, proficient in both verbal and written English
- Good knowledge of market research and analytical skills to identify most profitable offers
- Good organisational skills to prioritising tasks and meet deadlines
- Previous experience in a logistics or procurement role preferred
