**Responsibilities/Activities**:
- Focused on negotiating with suppliers on merchandise prices and on-time delivery
- Execution of Purchases based on MRP signals.
- High negotiations with suppliers to obtain better prices and conditions.
- Make and confirm purchase orders.
- Resolve pending invoices.




- Maintains the system with current delivery times and prices.
JOB DESCRIPTOR
Buyer : Working independently, coordinates purchasing activities and processes purchase reqs in a timely manner. Using MRP and/or manual reqs, analyzes demand to determine need, sends out RFQ's for price and availability. Monitors supplier delivery. Negotiates price/volume/delivery dates. Processes RMA's. Expedites and reschedules as necessary to meet production requirements. Responsible for resolving AP/AR issues through analysis and investigation. May research alternative suppliers for obsolete or long lead time parts.
