**Component Engineer**
Job Purpose:
This is a high-impact, high-visibility opportunity for the right individual who has developed a substantial skill set, has good self-management abilities, and is dedicated to the success of the teams we serve.
- Nature of Duties:
- Critical job functions include:
- BOM Analysis, Segregation, Scrubs for EOL and Value Engineering
- BOM cost reduction activities (system level and component level)
- Component Selection, Alternate Sourcing, Form Fit Function (FFF) Analysis including test and measurement
- Engineering Change Orders generation and review for accuracy and completeness




- Component Obsolescence Management (Supplier; EOL, PCN)
- Interact with Design Engineers, NPI & Operations Team, General Supply Teams and Suppliers
- Layered BOM structure understanding & PLM system skills
- Participate in VES and Customer processes for environmental compliance (RoHS, REACH, Full Material Disclosures,
etc...)- Prepare and submit part/assembly classification documents for customs clearance
- Support product quality activities as needed (RC, CAPA, etc...)
