**Daily Activities**:
- This role would be an extension of the current Atos Linux Role today as primary lead with training to a larger team to support the growth and health of the Linux Service
- Maintaining current IaaS Linux Infrastructure support in Cloud
- Includes current Satellite, Orcharhino and Ansible
- Including onboarding Scripts for new infrastructure and client VMs
- Support remaining onPrem Infrastructure with support to migrate over time to Cloud
- Support transition of Support to Cloud Operations team
- Decision maker for Evolution of Linux to future services in cloud computing Opportunities to be part of a larger IaaS Engineering Platforms team to expand knowledge in many other Cloud Services of interest.

**The Role**
- Configure and deploy Linux servers, virtual machines, and containers based on business requirements.
- Monitor Linux system performance, analyze logs, and investigate alerts for anomalies or issues.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as software updates, patch management, and security hardening.
- Troubleshoot and resolve Linux-related issues reported by users, IT support teams, or monitoring systems.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts and workflows to streamline system administration tasks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement Linux-based solutions for new projects.
- Review and update documentation, including system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
- Provide guidance and support to junior team members, mentoring them on Linux best practices and methodologies.
Participate in on-call rotations and incident response activities to ensure 24/7 availability and support for Linux systems.
**The Requirements**
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of Linux administration experience.
- Preferred Bachelor’s degree in a technical, computer, or math-related field (or equivalent experience).
- Linux Kernel Understanding.
- Scripting (Bash, Python, etc.).
- Cloud Computing Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
