What you'll do...
- Know the exterior Hinges and Closure commodity parts and understand cost drivers to deliver cost targets
- Develop, maintain, and execute the Hinges and Closures Commodity Business Plan (CBP) strategy
- Foster professional and healthy supplier partnerships
- Lead, plan, develop, and implement supplier commercial negotiations
- Work effectively with cross-functional teams regionally and/or globally
- Quote, negotiate and source suppliers for the purchase price of production parts, and tooling
- Complete sourcing activities and recommend suppliers for new programs
- Establish and implement sourcing strategy for exterior Hinges and Closures
- Assist in the resolution of cost, quality, and delivery issues affecting the supply
- Support GCT Buyers in both Service and Production and cross-functional partners to develop strategies and implement solutions
- Identify and implement cost reductions
- Negotiate cost avoidances for suppliers requesting cost increases
