**Product Design Teacher - Middle Years Program**

Monday to Friday 7:10 am -4:00 pm.
**Position Overview**:
The Product Design Teacher should be passionate about fostering creativity, innovation, and critical thinking in students, and have a deep understanding of the IB philosophy.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Teach Product Design to MYP students (Grades 6-10), incorporating the IB philosophy and inquiry-based learning.
- Develop and deliver engaging and challenging lessons that inspire students to explore the principles of design thinking, engineering, and problem-solving.
- Guide students in designing, creating, and refining projects using a variety of materials and technologies.
- Assess student work according to MYP criteria, providing constructive feedback to support their growth and learning.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan interdisciplinary units and integrate design principles across the curriculum.
- Maintain and manage the design lab and resources,



ensuring a safe and organized learning environment.
**Qualifications**:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Industrial Design, Graphic Design, Engineering, Education, or a related field, that provides a solid understanding of design and manufacturing principles
- Skills: Strong knowledge of design software, tools, and technology. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Competencies: Creative, innovative, and able to inspire students. Ability to manage a dynamic classroom environment and work collaboratively with a diverse team.
- Certification: Teaching certification and IB training (preferred).
