**Job Summary**
The Automation Engineer is responsible for developing and implementing automation projects, updating, managing and making improvements in current assets to optimize productivity and profitability.
**Essential Functions**
- Design automated equipment and solutions to improve manufacturing processes
- Define areas where automation could improve production and efficiency
- Provides technical support in relation to automated systems
- Own the technology and process and centerline settings for the equipment and process
- Designing new automation equipment or processes
- Simulating and testing these processes or equipment to ensure they function as desired
- Programming new automated components to the manufacturing process
- Developing and maintaining clear and accurate documentation of automation equipment or processes
**Competencies**
- High speed assembly, manufacturing or food industry, and Automation experience. more than one area is preferred.
- High experience with AB and Siemens Programs
- Experience with metal detectors, Robot Fanuc, AGV, Servomotors and VDF
- Highly Collaborative: highly accountable and autonomous and naturally works well with the team to seek innovative solutions and can identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to meet the company’s goals.
- Ability to build strong,



positive rapport with associates in a team environment; ability to lead through personal example that communicates integrity, core values and consistency in decision-making.

**Education**
- Minimum Required:
Bachelor's Degree In automation, Mechatronic or Robotics.
**Certification/License**:
- Required: PLC Programming
- Preferred: N/A
**Foreign Language**
- English: Full Professional Proficiency
- Spanish: Native or Bilingual Proficiency
