**Job Summary**
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented bilingual **Legal Assistant** to assist our legal team with various administrative tasks, client support, and the like. **Please note that the pay scale for this job posting is based on Latin America's salary range**.
**Responsibilities and Duties**
- Completes tasks assigned by paralegal in an appropriate and timely manner;
- Enters clear and correct notes in case management software;
- Collects documents from clients;
- Communicates with clients regularly with case updates;
- Calls court and other government agencies to follow-up on motions and various questions;
- Attends hearing preparation meetings and serves as notetaker and/or interpreter if paralegal is not available;
- Communicates with Paralegal to provide inquiry responses and other requested information;
- Prepares forms for Paralegals when requested;
- Update practice management software with all client information and case progress;
- Translation of documents from Spanish to English;
- Interpret for appointments from Spanish to English and English to Spanish.
**Qualifications and Skills**
- Fluency in both English and Spanish (conversing, reading, and writing).
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Office experience preferred.
- Solid work history.
- Have a passion to help underserved populations and to help people from all walks of life.
- Strong interest in an immigration-based practice.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Adobe PDF experience preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and customer service.
- Strong organization, time management, and prioritization skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt easily to changing circumstances.

Pay: $12,750.00 - $25,000.00 per month
