This position serves as the frontline communication with vendors. Responsibilities include monitoring supplier approval and performance, monitoring inventory levels, issuing purchase orders from ERP system. Buy critical materials and coordinate planning and buying activities with multiple departments to expedite process.
- Monitor supplier approval process and maintain performance records.
- Place and confirm purchase orders from ERP system (SAP).
- Monitor and maintain appropriate inventory levels of raw materials.
- Monitor inventory adjustments, and work with accounting to resolve discrepancies in ERP.
- Review MRP daily. Work with scheduling to ensure materials arrive in time to meet production demand and production schedule.
- Implement and follow procedures and policies from department.
- Work with vendors to implement corporate strategic goals.
- Facilitate the timely resolution of MRB issues.
- Maintain and data input of scheduling/materials flow information on MRP system (SAP).
- Participate and support to Commodity Leaders when developing a new source, interview vendors, when vendors and supply sources are inadequate.




- Evaluate and record vendor reliability via the supplier report card incident-based system.
- Keep inventory levels according to plant budget and policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned: Attend production meeting, Metrics review, Air Freight Authorization, ECN's and Deviations, Obsolete material related activities.
Experiência y requisitos
- Education: Bachelor’s degree.
- Experience: Five years.
- Abilities: Bilingual Spanish / English 95 %, computer literate.
- Proeficiency on SAP, microsoft office apps (especially microsoft excel).
- Supply chain trainings / courses.
- Experience in the electronic industry.
