ISP Secondary/High School Quemistry Role Profile
Purpose of Role
To educate and inspire high school students in the field of chemistry by delivering engaging and effective lessons that promote scientific understanding, critical thinking, and a passion for learning. The teacher will create a supportive learning environment and help students develop both theoretical knowledge and practical laboratory skills..

ISP Secondary/High School Quemistry Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver comprehensive chemistry lessons in line with the curriculum.
- Prepare teaching materials and practical laboratory activities.
- Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments, tests, and projects.
- Maintain a safe and organized science lab, following all safety protocols.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Support students individually to address learning needs or challenges.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and school administration as needed.
- Stay up to date with developments in science education and integrate new strategies into teaching.
Skills, Qualifications and Experience
**Skills**:Classroom management - Skilled in maintaining a respectful, focused, and supportive learning environment
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry Education, or a related field (required).
**Experience**:
2-5 years of experience teaching chemistry at the Upper School level.
