As part of the General Service Line Management Team, this role is for a Commissioning Specialist specifically focused on SPA-M (Sample, Prep Analysis) Projects. The role includes working closely with the SPA-M Project Engineering Team to execute the installation and commissioning of state-of-the-art automated laboratory systems, sampling systems and online analysis systems. The purpose of this role is to be the on-site technical lead for projects to ensure projects are installed and commissioned safely and correctly to achieve the outcomes of the project and exceed client’s expectations.
Your responsibilities
This position requires working with internal and external clients for projects globally. Domestic and international travel and the ability to be autonomous while in remote operations are required of the selected candidate.
Offsite preparation for projects including, but not limited to:Inspection and test plans including check sheetsDocument site plans for installation and commissioningEnsuring commissioning spares required are robust and will fulfill the needs of the projectEnsuring tools for installation and commissioning are available as required
Take part in Factory Acceptance Tests
Act as the technical lead for installation and commissioning of systems for global projects
Work with the team to build experience through on the job coaching
Train customers in operation and maintenance of systems
Through the service teams provide expert support to customers
Work with our customers, partners, vendors and manufacturers
Promotes a culture of personal and team safety, including others who may be affected by the company’s operational activities
What you bring
Electrical or mechatronics qualification required with at least 5 years’ experience. Minimum of two years’ experience working with SPA-M equipment as a technician or as part of the commissioning team
English as a first language. Ability to speak a second language favorable. Key languages Spanish, Portuguese, German, Russian and French.
Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team
Ability to work on multiple concurrent projects (primarily regarding preparation work)
Experience from working in an international environment
Willingness to learn and undergo job specific training (ex. software/project/sampling)
Good knowledge of SPA-M equipment and demonstrated ability to install and commission accordingly
