We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced **Lead Data Mapping Specialist** with extensive expertise in the Asset Management domain to step into a leadership role and drive large-scale data integration, migration, and transformation projects.
This position not only involves hands-on technical tasks but also leadership responsibilities, including mentoring team members, overseeing workstreams, and strategically aligning initiatives with organizational goals. The Lead Data Mapping Specialist will play a pivotal role in analyzing complex data flows, creating strategic plans for data alignment, and ensuring high-quality outcomes across systems, platforms, and business processes.
**Responsibilities**
- Analyze source and target systems to develop detailed data mapping specifications and ensure alignment with project goals
- Define and maintain comprehensive metadata, data dictionaries, and mapping documentation to support consistency across initiatives
- Validate mapping logic against business rules and domain-specific requirements, ensuring compliance and scalability
- Collaborate with product, operations, and compliance teams to align data models with investment strategies and regulatory requirements
- Lead technical collaboration with technology teams to design and implement complex ETL/ELT transformations and scalable data pipelines
- Ensure data consistency across front, middle, and back-office platforms (e.g., portfolio management, risk, performance, compliance, reporting) through proactive issue identification and resolution
- Partner with data governance teams to establish and enforce data standards, lineage protocols, and high-quality frameworks
- Oversee reconciliation and root-cause analysis of data issues, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely resolution




- Develop and lead data migration testing strategies and validation efforts during system upgrades or vendor transitions
- Translate business requirements into actionable data mapping strategies and oversee their implementation in collaboration with business analysts, solution architects, and developers
- Guide, mentor, and support team members to foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence within the data mapping function
- Identify and champion process improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency and align with organizational objectives
- Serve as the primary escalation point for complex data mapping challenges and project decisions
**Requirements**:
- 5+ years of experience in data mapping, data integration, data analysis, or related roles, with increasing responsibility and proven leadership experience (1+ years)
- Demonstrated leadership and mentoring abilities, with experience overseeing project teams and driving successful outcomes
- Strong proficiency in data modeling and enterprise-level integration strategies
- Advanced skills in SQL for data analysis, profiling, and validation, with the capability to optimize and troubleshoot complex queries
- Exceptional documentation and communication skills to translate technical solutions into business-friendly formats and engage with stakeholders effectively




- Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams while maintaining high-quality deliverables in dynamic and fast-paced environments
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (B2+ level)
