**Responsibilities**
- Develop, enhance, and maintain high-quality Java code
- Build backend microservices and REST APIs
- Conduct thorough code reviews and provide constructive feedback
- Follow best practices like CI, unit testing, and code reviews in development workflows
- Actively participate in SCRUM ceremonies and collaborate with the team
- Estimate and plan development tasks during project planning sessions
- Mentor team members and foster collaboration among peers
- Partner closely with Offshore teams to ensure alignment and productivity
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field; Master's degree preferred
- Expertise in Java development with good command over Spring Framework and Spring Boot
- Knowledge of APIs and microservices architecture, proficiency in backend services
- Familiarity with Apache Kafka and Azure Kubernetes, showcasing ability to work in cloud-native environments
- Understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and Kubernetes integration
- Capability to work in CST business hours
- English language proficiency at an Upper-Intermediate level (B2) or higher
**Nice to have**
- Background in Single Page Application design and development
- Familiarity with secure backend services and REST API development practices
- Flexibility to use tools like Splunk and Dynatrace
- Exposure to ReactJS development adds value to the profile
