The Logistics Coordinator will manage and optimize the flow of equipment, materials, and resources within our data center operations. This role ensures efficient procurement, inventory management, and coordination of logistics activities to support continuous data center operations and infrastructure projects. This position offers the opportunity to play a critical role in maintaining the operational excellence of a data center infrastructure while developing expertise in technology logistics and supply chain management.
**Qualifications**
**Education/Experience**:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or inventory management.
- Previous experience in technology or data center environments preferred.
- Proficiency in inventory management systems and ERP software.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
- Familiarity with procurement platforms and vendor management systems.
- Understanding of data center infrastructure and equipment types.
- Professional certifications in supply chain or logistics (APICS, CSCMP).
- Experience with ITIL framework and change management processes.
- Knowledge of environmental and regulatory compliance for electronic equipment.
- Familiarity with asset management and configuration management databases.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Understanding of supply chain principles and best practices.
**Qualifications**
- Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels of critical data center equipment including servers, networking components, cables, and spare parts.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts to ensure accuracy.
- Implement inventory control procedures and maintain detailed records in management systems.
- Coordinate with vendors for equipment returns, warranties, and replacements.
- Source and procure data center equipment, materials, and services from approved vendors.
- Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and service level agreements.
- Maintain vendor relationships and evaluate supplier performance.
- Process purchase orders and ensure compliance with procurement policies.
- Coordinate delivery, receipt, and staging of new equipment installations.
- Manage equipment decommissioning and disposal processes following environmental and security protocols.
- Track equipment lifecycle from procurement through deployment to end-of-life.
- Coordinate with facilities teams for equipment moves, adds, and changes.
- Support data center expansion projects by coordinating material deliveries and logistics timelines.
- Collaborate with engineering teams on equipment specifications and procurement requirements.
- Manage logistics for maintenance windows and infrastructure upgrades.
- Ensure compliance with project schedules and budget constraints.
- Maintain accurate records of all logistics activities and transactions.
- Generate regular reports on inventory levels, procurement metrics, and vendor performance.
- Document processes and procedures for logistics operations.
- Support audits and compliance requirements.
