Motion Graphics Animator and Video Producer
**Company Overview**:
**Position Summary**:
We are hiring a part-time Motion Graphics Animator and Video Producer to create captivating animated digital art and promotional videos. This role reports directly to the founder and involves collaborating closely on projects. The position starts at 20 hours per week with the potential to transition to full-time based on performance and productivity. In-person attendance is required once per week at our location in Guadalajara, Jalisco. Fluent English is essential, as it is the primary language for business communications.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Develop and produce animated digital art using Adobe After Effects, including character rigging, animation (e.g., run cycles, gestures), and motion design elements such as path animations with vectors.
- Implement advanced After Effects techniques, including expressions, scripts, and visual effects plugins (e.g., particle effects, form simulations, pattern repeaters, puppet tools, video collage tools, and blend modes).
- Edit and produce promotional videos by combining clips, integrating audio tracks and sound effects, and utilizing paid templates for transitions and visual effects.
- Incorporate AI tools to streamline workflows, such as automating rotoscoping and audio editing, where applicable.
- Optionally, leverage 3D skills in Blender for sculpting, animating, texturing, and character creation to enhance projects.




- Collaborate with the founder to iterate on concepts and ensure deliverables align with creative vision.
**Required Qualifications**:
- Expert-level proficiency in Adobe After Effects, with strong knowledge of expressions, scripts, and motion design fundamentals.
- Proven experience in character rigging and animation, including creating effective run cycles and gestures.
- Solid video editing skills, including clip assembly, audio mixing, and using templates for efficient production.
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
- Ability to work independently while reporting in-person once per week in Guadalajara, Jalisco.
- Portfolio demonstrating relevant work in animation, motion graphics, and video production.
**Preferred Qualifications**:
- Experience with AI-driven tools to optimize animation and editing workflows.
- Proficiency in Blender for 3D tasks such as sculpting, animating, texturing, and avatar creation.
- Familiarity with additional creative software and a passion for digital art.
