**Location**: Guadalajara, Jalisco (In-Office Only)

**Area**: U.S. Consumer Bankruptcy - Chapter 13
**About the Role**
A U.S. based bankruptcy law firm with operations in Guadalajara is seeking a **Bilingual Paralegal** to support its **Chapter 13 Department**. This position is fully on-site and requires strong English communication skills, attention to detail, and experience working in legal or paralegal roles.
You will collaborate daily with attorneys and case managers in the United States, contributing to the preparation, management, and follow-up of active bankruptcy files.
**What You’ll Do**
- Draft and update **Chapter 13 plans**, amendments, and case-related documents
- Review **motions, court notices, and ECF filings**, ensuring accurate tracking
- Prepare legal correspondence, pleadings, and fee-related submissions
- Assist with **Mortgage Modification Mediation (MMM)** processes
- Manage client communication in both English and Spanish
- Coordinate requests related to **vehicle purchases, plan modifications, and student loan proposals** within bankruptcy cases
- Maintain organized records and monitor case deadlines
**What We’re Looking For**
- **Advanced English (verbal and written)** - essential for daily work
- Previous experience as a **Paralegal, Legal Assistant, or in legal operations**:
- Knowledge of **U.S. bankruptcy** (Chapter 13 or Chapter 7) highly preferred
- Strong organization, multitasking, and communication skills
- Ability to work **100% on-site in Guadalajara**
**Preferred Qualifications**
- Undergraduate degree in Law, Legal Studies, or related fields
- Experience drafting legal documents in English
- Familiarity with U.S. court procedures and ECF systems
