**Manager, Purchasing**
Omnicell is continuing to grow our team in Mexico! Are you an experienced Purchasing Manager seeking a new opportunity in Guadalajara? We are seeking a Purchasing Manager who will be the primary point of contact for all Procurement related activities supporting our Milpitas, CA site. This role will also serve as the primary contact between Omnicell and our Milpitas suppliers. The Purchasing Manager is responsible for the overall management of the Procurement team’s effort to support Milpitas and other local Omnicell sites for both direct and indirect materials and services. This includes such areas as: inventory management, material planning, cost reductions, fostering strong relationships with internal customers, effective management of supplier relationships,
and for leading supplier-related projects as assigned by Procurement Management or by the Factory Site Leader.
**Responsibilities**:
- Work with assigned suppliers on continuous improvement in the areas of quality, cost, inventory, delivery, and support. Act as the primary point of contact with assigned suppliers, managing overall supplier relationship.
- Manage site team responsible for Direct/Indirect Spend
- Maintain knowledge of all Milpitas products and any projects that affect product, cost structures/COGS, inventory, or supply chain support to the site. Includes: products manufactured at the site as well as OEM or off the shelf items.
- Manage tactical and strategic site procurement efforts to support Manufacturing, NPI or General Business operations. Set strategic goals/objectives for Purchasing.
- Manage, lead, and develop a team of Buyers with diverse backgrounds and skill sets to meet the procurement needs of the site. Includes: on-going cost reductions, inventory management, supplier management, monthly metrics reporting and quarterly goal setting.
- Partner with Production Planning Manager to develop and execute inventory strategies; lead quarterly review process for disposition of excess & obsolete materials.
- Serve as a member of the Site Leadership Team that is responsible for the successful operations of the factory.
- Act as the primary point of contact for Milpitas suppliers,
responsible for ensuring consistently high quality, on time delivery performance, cost controls, and compliance with T&C;’s.
- Partner with Commodity Managers, internal departments, and/or works independently to identify new sources of supply, perform pre-assessments, and evaluate new suppliers to build a strong supplier base that meets the defined business requirements of the site (acquisition, distribution, internal allocation, delivery, recycling, reuse, or final disposal of resources).
- Monitor and report monthly procurement metrics to site and executive leadership teams. Metrics include supplier performance, OTD, quality, cost, and inventory.
- Provide support to NPI Project managers or NPI teams in support of new products at site. Support and define Supply Chain requirements and parameters for materials.
- Create procurement policies and procedures for Milpitas activities that affect overall Supply Chain and Inventory models. Requires frequent interfaces with Commodity Managers, Marketing, Sales, Hardware/Software Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Service and Field Operations for the purpose of defining the supply chain.
- Drive and monitor SAP requirements (across all plants, all regions and for all products) and the supplier forecasting process; collaborate with appropriate buyers and departments; provide guidance to Production Planning and Site Leadership Team regarding support to plan. Identify and report RISKS to plan and potential revenue impacts. Maintain data integrity within SAP for Procurement related items (lead-time, sources, costs, etc.)
