> Define and implement a Category strategy for the North America region in alignment with Global Category Management and Business Units requirements.
> Support of sourcing process during product development through supplier selection.
> Final negotiation of prices and closure of contracts.
> Support planning, controlling and reporting of objectives within defined area of responsibility.
> Compile, prepare and present results related to strategies, sourcing results, etc. to Senior Management and Business Units.
> Planning, monitoring and reporting of purchasing KPI’s (as PPV, PPM, APR, etc.), specific overall objectives, to define and introduce proactive and/or corrective measures to achieve general category targets.
> Lead and support annual price negotiations with global suppliers.
> Continuous improvement of supplier relation and performance to meet the technical, quality, delivery and costs expectations for BU.
> Interface with program team management, supplier quality assurance and plant purchasing to develop supplier expectations and drive supplier performance.
> Identification, track and forecast of the key cost drivers and market factors for Connectors and Plastic Mechatronics.
> Conduct regular business reviews with suppliers and develop sourcing strategies based on quality, delivery, cost and global market considerations.
