The role involves sophisticated risk management analysis of often complex legal, contractual, regulatory and governance issues. The role-holder must therefore have the ability to quickly develop knowledge and experience of legal and regulatory matters relating to derivatives, cash trading and capital markets transactions and the structuring of such transactions, as well as experience in developing solutions to legal problems including the ability to identify and promote beneficial improvements to legal or firm process.

Person Specification
Essential Skills/Basic Qualifications:
- Law degree
- Admission to practice in Mexico
- 9+ years’ experience as a derivatives, structured finance, capital markets and regulatory attorney at a large investment bank
Desirable skills/Preferred Qualifications:
- Excellent written and verbal English/Spanish language skills.
- Strong legal drafting skills and ability to explain complex legal matters concisely and effectively for a broad range of clients.
- Proactively work with the business on legal matters in a collegial manner to achieve results.
- Passion for understanding the law and regulatory developments.
- Exhibit superior ethics at all times.




- Developed technical expertise in derivatives and capital markets legal matters.
- Developed expertise in relevant regulatory regimes (Mexico, US and EU).
