Eaton’s IS AER FED division is currently seeking a Sr. CI Control and Automation Engineer.
**What you’ll do**:
**PRIMARY FUNCTION**:
This position is responsible for driving improvements in efficiency, quality & safety in manufacturing operations through the deployment of appropriate Industry 4.0 tools & technologies such as: augmented reality, factory simulation, process control & traceability, digital work instructions, additive manufacturing, and data analytics.
- Lead major projects to deploy Industry 4.0 tools & technologies into manufacturing operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional resources to execute projects - Digital Factory Engineer/Specialist, Information Technology, Operational Excellence, Production, Quality, Facilities.
- Guide & support plant teams on machine connectivity & data acquisition activities.
- Work as liaison to divisional Digital Factory Engineer and Manufacturing leaders.
- Align Industry 4.0 project objectives to continuous improvement initiatives focusing on strategic value streams.
- Assist manufacturing teams in the development, submission & approval of business cases for Industry 4.0 project opportunities.
- Train key plant personnel on the industry 4.0 tools & technologies being deployed to ensure successful adoption and achieve improvement objectives.
Will work closely with the operations service department, to improve current data analysis, reporting, presentation, and standardization of data for the Operations team.
Build and maintain decision support tools, identify opportunities to increase productivity at all levels of the organization. Should be able to connect sources of data as MFGPRO, ORACLE and MS Office and not limited to others (UBISENSE, Thinkworkx, AI)
This position will work directly with CI in a support role to drive improvement in our manufacturing operations,



including the operations services team (program management, automation, i4.0, manufacturing engineering and maintenance)
**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**
A. Development and improvements through electronic controls integration.
B. Strong knowledge in PLC programs, mainly Allen Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi, Omron and Fanuc, works on developing backups and improvement of the parameters and program itself.
C. Knowledge in vision system mainly Keyence and Omron.
D. Advanced tools for troubleshooting, administration, and control of repair.
E. Develops the guidelines for maintenance technicians regarding controls troubleshooting.
F. Leads Continuous improvement projects regarding cost out or insourcing process improvements.
G. Implements, promotes, and maintains a safe work environment by implementing a culture of accidents.

- Bachelor´s Degree Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronics.
- English: conversational Advanced.
- 4 years of experience in controls or maintenance.
- Demonstrated knowledge and training in automation, mistake proofing techniques.




- Experience conducting multidisciplinary teams.
- Knowledge in control systems, (encoders, servomotors, vision systems).
- Programming PLC, CNC, Drive AC, DC and FANUC, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, Siemens.
- Restoration, data back up and PLC controls internal hard disk.
- Skills at interpreting mechanical drawings and CAD/ Solid work System usage.
- Mechanical design for tools / tooling.
- Knowledge of machinery functions (hydraulic, electrical, mechanical operations).
- Complex automatic assembly process knowledge.
- Problem solving tools.
- PLC programming, both development/integration and troubleshooting.
- Main PLCs required Allen Bradley (Must), FANUC & SIEMENS (is a Plus).
- Budget management.
