**Data Engineer II**
As a Data Engineer II here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and implementing data engineering solutions within our organization. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs. Your technical expertise in data engineering and proficiency in programming languages will be instrumental in optimizing **data pipelines and ETL processes** for scalability and performance.
You will work out of our Mexico City location on a hybrid work schedule.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of innovative data solutions that drive operational efficiency and enable data-driven decision-making. Your work will play a key role in ensuring the integrity and accuracy of our data, as well as improving the overall performance of our data engineering processes.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of **data engineering** solutions
- Architect and optimize data pipelines and **ETL processes** for scalability and performance




- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry best practices in data engineering
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior data engineers
**YOU MUST HAVE**
- BS or MS (MS preferred) in Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems, or another related field
- Experience in supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment
- Experience performing root cause analysis, and debugging data pipeline runtime issues
- BS w/ 4+ (MS w/ 2+) years of experience in a data engineering role:
- Experience with **cloud services, preferably Azure**
- **Experience with managing and optimizing automated scalable data pipelines**
- Experience with **big data tools: Spark, Hadoop, etc**.
- Experience with relational **SQL, NoSQL databases**
- Experience with managing and **optimizing IaaS**:VMs, HDD/ SSDs,** networking, and storage accounts
- Experience with **Linux scripting** **in bash, tcsh,** etc.
- Experience with managing **cloud security**
- Experience with implementing and following **version control**
**and Advanced communication skills (English)**
