The Bilingual Sr Cost Accountant
will work closely with the Finance & Accounting Team, Company’s ERP Team,
and Operational Management. This
position works within tight deadlines and requires hands-on preparation of
month-end inventory costing / general journal entries. Daily monitoring inventory accuracy related
to cycle count audit, inventory average cost, inventory miscellaneous
adjustments, in-transit inventory, work order material usage, labor / OH
applied, work order completion, work order variance analysis. Collaboration with Procurement Team / General
Accounting Team related to material purchases and RNI.
- Daily monitor non-routine inventory transactions
- Preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations
- Collaborate and provide support to accounting team ensuring close deadlines are met
- Review daily cycle count variances and report accuracy metrics by site
- Review daily large scrap transactions and research for reason and actual physical disposal
- Research suspense account activities for reclass journal by site
- Run daily negative margins report and distribute to GM’s
- Daily support to site operations of work order actual material usage and reasonableness
- Support and review site WIP and research work orders with large variances
- Root cause analysis for large material, labor, OH work order variances
- Assist site operation on corrective action to reduce work order variances
- Record current month scrap/damage expense, summarize, and distribution




- Reconcile inventory ledger to subledger and correct any discrepancies
- Review aged inventory for quarterly inventory reserved journal
- Trace intersite / intercompany inventory transactions for variances
- Perform other duties or special projects as requested by management
- Assist in audits, including quarterly and year-end audits
Experiência y requisitos
**Required**
- Fluent in Spanish and English
- Bachelor in accounting, or equivalent education
- Strong understanding of General Ledger structure and knowledge of GAAP
- 3+ years of experience in inventory, cost accounting, revenue, and reporting
- Experience with multi divisional and line of business operating income reporting
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of Cost Accounting
- Team player with a positive attitude and a strong thirst for knowledge
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and ERP experience
**Highly Desired**
- Experience working in a global, medium-sized, multi-location manufacturing environment
- Ability to be detailed oriented, handle multiple tasks and priorities, and work effectively under pressure
