**Responsibilities**
- Work in an Agile environment, taking ownership of solutions, including deployment, testing, quality, monitoring, and operational excellence
- Fully own the software development lifecycle (SDLC) from conception through deployment and ongoing support
- Strive for continuous improvement of code quality and engineering practices
- Contribute to story sizing and work estimates for implementation, validation, delivery, and documentation
- Review user stories to ensure quality user experience, well-defined acceptance criteria, and thorough test coverage
- Participate in design and code reviews to ensure quality and testability of feature code
- Implement and maintain DevOps practices
- Adjust to changing priorities and shifting goals positively
**Requirements**:
- 2+ years of production experience
- Experience with database management and Java development
- Strong understanding of SQL and ability to write complex logic using different SQL dialects
- Experience working with large data volumes
- Good understanding of Data Warehousing concepts
- Database modeling skills and strong understanding of data structures
- Experience with Amazon Web Services, Apache Kafka, Gitlab CI, Gradle, and Kubernetes
- Strong knowledge of the Spring Boot framework
- Experience implementing DevOps practices
- Knowledge of New Relic Analytics, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, and MS SQL Server
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a sense of ownership
- B2+ level of English proficiency
- If located in Europe, availability until at least 2 PM PST
**Nice to have**
- Experience with test automation frameworks such as SpringBootTest, Spock Framework, Serenity, or Cucumber
- Front-end development experience with React
