Focus on projects/process improvement to ensure that processes and products are designed with appropriate quality measurement systems. Minimize risk of poor quality. (eg-Master Black Belt and Black Belt). Has in-depth knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; has working knowledge of competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market.
This position is responsible for driving customer quality improvements throughout the BOP facility. It will interface with plants, regions, engineering and other functional team to ensure the resolution of quality issues and opportunities.
Duties include (but are not limited to):
Responsible for leading efforts to gather meaningful and actionable field, site and customer quality information, and to team with plants and engineering to define and implement projects to address these opportunities.
Leads cross-functional projects to drive standardization, stability, and simplification in processes resulting in improvements in supply chain reliability and quality. This includes providing change leadership and utilizing Change Acceleration Process (CAP) methods and tools across assigned critical business initiatives.




Identifies opportunities for improvement and tracks the effectiveness of projects through ownership of modality level product quality bowler charts. Drive sustainable countermeasures through ownership and leadership of projects in our CAPA system.
Support the site total quality vision and translate it into clear strategies and priorities. Effectively communicate Why, What, and How.
Provide statistical and analytical expertise and training to Six Sigma team and greater GEHC community as required.
Identify opportunities to Lean and simplify processes for sustained productivity gains and customer impact.
Act as a change agent, systematically driving continuous improvement and change throughout the business, setting the pace of change to grow the business and make it more efficient.
Present ideas, thoughts, and projects to senior management and get support on projects and Serves as a recognized expert and resource leader for process focus areas.
Develop rigorous control plans; working closely with process owners, project champions, and Sr. Leadership Team to provide leadership and direction on the implementation of lean strategies and processes and ensure improvement gains are sustained on a long-term basis in a significant wing-to-wing process.
Facilitates workouts, value stream mapping sessions and activities to achieve project objectives.
Quality Specific Goals:
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s Degree




- A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in one or more of the following: product development, product quality, engineering, manufacturing, quality control and/or servicing in a medical device environment
- Six Sigma BB or MBB background
- Experience leading Lean Action Workouts
- Any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen
- Bilingual English/Spanish
**Preferred Qualifications**:
- Relevant technical experience with reliability engineering, manufacturing engineering, new product development, field service
- Influential leader - able to work cross-functionally and drive wins for the business
- General leadership experience with strong project management skills
- Able to react with appropriate urgency and professionalism & make decisions under pressure
- Strong business acumen and experience using financial analyses to make important business
- decisions and understands key financial metrics
- Ability to handle competing priorities effectively
- Experience with Medical device product knowledge.
