The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for understanding the travel and expense policy, ensuring all travel and expense processes are cost-effective and run accurately and timely, and analyzing and resolving system issues.
**What you will be doing**:
- Management of travel and expense systems
- Audit T&E; claims and follow-ups
- Prepare monthly account reconciliations.
- Ensure complete, accurate, and timely documentation of posting activity in the accounting systems.
- Enforcement of policy
- Audit Mexico travel and expenses according to SAT regulations
- Support travelers with expense report submissions and corporate card usage
- Responsible for Internal communication regarding travel
- Coach, educate, and support staff on travel and expenses.
- Attention to multi-currency and multi-company details.
- Month/Quarter/Year End procedures & timelines.
**What you will bring**:
- Detail-oriented and deadline-driven with strong organizational skills
- Experience managing corporate travel and expense programs.
- Ability to quickly learn new systems, processes, and procedures.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all written and verbal organizational levels.
- Attention to detail and accuracy with strong problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Excel
- Excellent English communication skills.
- 2+ years of specialized/industry experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
