The Construction Planner and Scheduler role will involve leading the development and maintenance of the project master schedule in ORACLE Primavera P6 Software.
- Collaboration with key stakeholders for accurate and timely updates on the projects engineering, procurement and construction phases, will be key to the project’s success.
- Prepare and maintain the project Basis of Schedule
- Establish and manage the project master schedule for the engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning phases
- Calculate and manage Earned Value KPIS and progress tracking with S curves.
- Learn and implement the scheduling specifications and processes of the owner.
- Coordinate project progress tracking with the GC and relevant stakeholders for all project milestones.
- Must be an expert in ORACLE Primavera P6.
- Ensure the project schedule activities are coded by the project work breakdown structure and interface to the controls systems for progress / forecast updates and analysis.
- Facilitate IPS’s (Interactive Planning Sessions) for the project with discipline leads, vendors and client inputs.
- Establish the project critical path and continue to analyse, monitor and report throughout the project.
- Incorporate any required scope changes and trends into project schedule.
- Provide an Analysis of impacts / deviations and propose mitigation measures.
- Provide client an internal weekly, bi-weekly/monthly reporting inputs of plan vs actual and any forecast mitigation strategies.
- Comply with relevant Owner policies and procedures and work within legal and regulatory frameworks.
**Qualifications** Experience**:
- 7 - 10 years' experience in project controls, planning, and scheduling.
- Data Centre experience is preferred.
- Development of detailed project plans from the Master Schedule using P6 software. Also, Manage key inputs including task lists, logic, milestones, resources, from design phases through to construction & project close-out.
- Monitor trends and analyse schedule impacts with the project team.
- Prepare status reports.
- Ensure standards, formats and timeframes are maintained.
- Adjust the schedule if and when required and report all discrepancies against the baseline.
**Education/Qualifications/Core abilities**:
- Degrees and/or professional licenses in Architectural/Civil/Electrical/Production Engineering.
- Strong Verbal and Written Communication Skills in Spanish and English.
- Strong Project planning, scheduling, and project execution experience is essential.
- Experience with Large Scale or Mission Critical projects in a consulting engineering capacity.
- Must be able to handle multiple tasks and prioritize.
- Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Scheduler experience.
- Experienced and competent with Primavera (P6) products.
- Experienced and competent with Microsoft Office products.
- Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to work with diverse groups, from top level executive to field foreman.
- Effective communication and presentation skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal in English and Spanish.
- Shows strong problem-solving skills and can work independently as well as strong team player.
