**GENERAL SUMMARY**(Describe the overall duties and responsibilities of the job)
The Quality Manager leads the Quality department by planning, developing and coordinating the quality programs and processes to ensure continuous production of products are consistent with established quality and customer standards.
Quality Process Owner according to IATF 16949. Ensure the correct use of the procedures of the quality management system meeting with staff to get involved and support operations objectives and monthly metrics.
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES**(Duties required for successful job performance)
- Process Owner responsible for managing MOP-002 Quality Systems, SOP-001 Lab and SOP-002 Suppliers System and related outputs.
- Lead plant organization in setting and achieving quality goals of programs and activities to meet customer and internal needs and expectations. Establishes quality objectives to continuously improve the process that assures product quality. Keeps track of Quality KPIs (IPBs, Customer Scorecards and COPQ)
- Maintains all key metrics regarding quality and maintains reporting systems.
- Is involved in all customer concerns to ensure they are assisted immediately, resolved and the manufacturing facility is aware of all concerns. Follows Problem Solving Methodologies, implement robust corrective actions and makes sure those corrective actions are fully implemented and read across to other similar production lines in the plant.
- Ensures the execution of corrective actions and the ongoing compliance with customers specifications.
- Create strategic operational plans for Quality improvement of the plant.
- Work with customer business teams and other commercial group representatives to meet customer and internal quality objectives.




- Work directly with customer quality representatives to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction on quality results and actions.
- Develop a quality functional organization and its individuals therein to meet customer and internal expectations for Quality functions and standards.
- Participates in and performs Layered Process Audits (LPA) per plan
- Work actively with plant and functional leaders to resolve issues quickly and effectively to then authorize a restart of production. Direct and allocate overtime hours as schedules require supporting all production activities.
- Ensure all relevant quality data is recorded and maintained in appropriate company systems.
- Report quality results to site and upper management in quantitative and interpretative styles. Maintains Fast Response Log (PRS Enterproj)
- Maintains COPQ/SQ log updated, keep record and strong follow up to sorting costs and customer open deductions related to Quality concerns.
- Follows up on Supplier Quality issues via DMN system, strong follow up to costs recovery related to Supplier Quality concerns.
- Ensure that for ongoing productions, any deviations from approved documentations are properly analysed, controlled & approved, including obtaining engineering support (where appropriate). Performs/assists in associate performance reviews and discussions.
- Develop quality training programs for all plant employees.
- Ensure internal and outgoing process quality assurance.



Ensures PPAP submissions for new launches and engineering changes are completed.
- Lead Customer Quality Systems including communication across the site.
- Complies with policies and procedures pertaining to facility or divisional adopted standards such as IATF 16949. Provides leadership in directions toward maintaining and implementing the system. Complies according to IATF Roles and Responsibility Matrix.
- Complies with ISO 14001 according to FTM-EHS-12. Matrix of Roles Responsibility and Authority.
- Attend required courses. Participates in, and provides training as required.
- Develop his or her functions under Labour regulations: Code of ethics and other policies and procedures of Cooper standard.
- Be Involved in continuous improvement activities according to Plant Scheduled. Supports continuous improvement projects. Utilizes the concepts of continuous improvement including Lean.
- Be Involved in emergency evacuation drills as a part of an evacuation brigade.
Not limited to other functions assigned by the manager.
- Direct decision making to guarantee the integrity of personnel in plant evacuation processes.
- All the responsibilities and follow the authority assigned according to the FTM-EHS-12 Roles, Responsibility and Authority Matrix from ISO 14001 /45001. Ensures Housekeeping and Health & Safety Standards are maintained,
**REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and KNOWLEDGE**(Required occupational qualifications and other requirements)
**EDUCATION**
- Obtained Bachelor’s degree.
**EXPERIENCE**
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in automotive industry
- Experience in a leadership role preferably in the automotive industry.
