**Job Summary**:
The Insights Platform team is looking for a highly skilled Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to support and enhance our infrastructure across Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Amazon Web Services (AWS). In this role, you will be responsible for enabling platform users, automating infrastructure tasks, and ensuring high reliability of our cloud services. This position requires hands-on experience with Python scripting, cloud services management, and infrastructure as code.
**Responsibilities and Duties**:
- Provide direct support to platform users with access control, compute resource management, and query troubleshooting
- Automate infrastructure operations using Python and Terraform to improve efficiency and reliability
- Manage and troubleshoot cloud-based services across GCP (e.g., BigQuery, Dataplex) and AWS (e.g., EC2, Lambda)
- Maintain and improve infrastructure monitoring, logging, and alerting practices
- Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to ensure system uptime and performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and solve platform-related challenges
**Qualifications and Skills**:
- 5-7 years of professional experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or related roles
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or equivalent field
- Proficiency in Python scripting (mid to expert level)
- Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform) and CI/CD pipelines
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work across teams




- Proven problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities in production environments
**Role-specific Requirements**:
- Prior experience supporting GCP services such as Dataplex, BigQuery, Dataproc Serverless, Logging, Pub/Sub, GCS
- Hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, RDS, VPC, Lambda, S3, IAM, EMR
- Proficient with version control using Git
- Strong understanding of access management, resource provisioning, and system health monitoring
- Preferred: Cloud certifications (AWS Solutions Architect Professional or equivalent GCP certification)
