To support the growth of our Tropical Corn Breeding Program we are looking for an **experienced and talented Breeder.**You will contribute to reach MASSeeds business ambitions for Tropical Corn in Africa and Mexico through the development of performing products and improved R&D; processes.You will lead our Tropical Corn Breeding Program,



which is primarly based in Queretaro,Mexico supported by a trialing network across Mexico and Africa, and by our winter generation site in Puerto Vallarta.
Key Responsabilities:
- Lead product development from new population initiation to hand-over to product evaluation.
- Develop a significant knowledge of our products & germplasm, through extensive field visits to collect phenotypic data's.
- Contribute to **design of structured & innovative product profiles** through participation in Product team (product evaluation and marketing).
- Translate product profiles into breeding objectives, product signatures and decisional breeding schemes.
- Participate actively in Product team’s and R&D; center leadership team’s proposals & decisions.
- Lead **continuous improvement** of breeding schemes to increase genetic gain by budget unit.
- Collaborate tightly with Technology team to improve breeding efficiency through implementation of **new technologies**.
- Lead or participate to **cross-functional projects** within the organisation & scientific community.
- Develop MASSeeds visibility & breeding context awareness through a strong network in the plant breeding industry (private & public).
- Propose, discuss and respect budget within the Product team to support breeding objectives
- Contribute to **people development** through line or project management.
- Master Degree or Phd in Plant Breeding.
- A first significant experience as a Breeder in the Tropical Context.
- Willing to travel extensively in Mexico and abroad (up to two months per year).
- English speaking.
- Driving Licence.
